On the one hand, it includes graduates, who had completed secondary school education no more than 5 years before the competition was announced. On the other hand, it is addressed to pupils of schools which issue a certificate, or any other document which entitles them to start higher education.
Yes. If the winner of the competition does not take up their studies at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science in the year of granting the scholarship, the candidate may apply again for the scholarship competition in the following years.
No other documents are required. There is no need to send translations. It is sufficient to send scanned documents and diplomas by electronic means of communication.
However, after the end of the competition and the announcement of the results, the recruitment process should start as soon as possible. During this process, it will be necessary to provide the apostille of the graduation diploma and its sworn translation into Polish, which can be done in Poland.
A person on the reserve list for the scholarship will obtain the maximum result of qualifications in the recruitment process for studies in the field agreed with the commission, will be able to participate in a Polish language course, and will have accommodation in a student hall of residence in the first year of study funded.
The interviews shall be held between 9 and 30 June. The committee shall contact the participants of the second stage of the competition in order to stipulate a specified timeline. The interview shall be held in a manner which enables the most convenient way of communication between the committee and the candidate. The committee members possess the knowledge of Polish and English, as well as to a lesser degree, of Russian. Generally, it is sufficient to possess the knowledge of English, or minimum knowledge of Polish.
An individual course of studies means that student, in consultation with their academic supervisor, can choose any courses they wish. Student is obliged, however, to obtain a required number of ECTS credits, which means they cannot complete fewer courses than other students. In practical terms, an individual course of studies gives students great freedom.
