PhD Scholarship
PhD scholarship in the Division of Computational Mathematics,
Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science,
Jagiellonian University, Kraków, Poland, within the NCN Maestro 6 Project
Requirements:
- Completed or finalized by the end of September 2015 master degree in mathematics, computer science, computation mathematics or a similar area,
- Research interests in the field of computational topology and / or computational dynamics,
- Good knowledge of algorithms, including algorithms of continuous systems,
- Advanced programming skills in C ++ using modern programming techniques,
- Experience in conducting research documented by publications would be an advantage.
Fellow Responsibilities:
- Scientific research within the project requirements in the field of computational topological dynamics, in agreement with the project manager, leading to a PhD degree in mathematics or computer science,
- Design, implementation, testing, nurturing and documenting software developed for the project and used as part of the project,
- Assistance in the administration of computer equipment used in the project,
- Collaboration in the dissemination of project results, including: preparation of presentations, publications and websites related to the project,
- Assistance in the development of documentation and reports reports related to the project.
The amount of the scholarship is 3 000 zł per month. An additional faculty scholarship is a possibility. The scholarship may be granted for four years.
Application deadline: 15th September 2015.
The selected candidate will be announced not later than 22nd September 2015.
